National Education Savings Scheme
 

National Education Savings Scheme (SSPN) is a savings scheme or instrument designed by the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) for the purpose of higher education.

Besides promising an annual dividend yield, SSPN also provide special financial incentives in the form of grants or Matching Grant Matches specific to low-income depositors who are subject to the conditions and regulations.

In addition, insurance benefits and payment of compensation / case of deaths available for free to all depositors who are eligible subject to specified terms and conditions.

Entry Requirements

Open to all residents of Malaysia.

Features & Privileges

1.Tax relief for the current year net savings of RM3, 000 per year;
2.Free insurance cover for depositors who have deposits of RM1, 000 and above *;
3.Matching Grants of up to RM10, 000 for a family is eligible **;
4. Deposits as low as RM20 at any time and guaranteed by the Government;
5.The dividend rate is competitive and exempt from income tax;
6.Convenience store at more than 1,500 agents PTPTN and
7.Storage facilities through payroll deductions.


Insurance
Insurance coverage in the form of benefits and / or charities are entitled to the depositor's death, aged 18 to 65 years. While beneficiaries aged 1 day to 28 years is entitled to a charitable event of death upon death. However, it is subject to the conditions and regulations.

** Family monthly income (salary) does not exceed RM2, 000 a month worth considering giving the child received Matching Grants and signed into institutions of higher learning recognized by the Government.

Privileges:

1. Premiums paid by PTPTN.
2. Cover RM to RM (Dollar to Dollar) (general insurance) and RM100, 000 (insurance funds).
3. Charitable / death compensation to depositors (RM2, 000) and beneficiaries (RM500).

Conditions:

1. The age limit for depositors 18 to 65 years old.
2. The age limit for receiving benefits 1 day to 28 years.
3. Depositors have account balances of at least RM1, 000 at all times.


Note:

Insurance beneficiaries who live with their parents / guardians and SSPN accounts opened by parents / guardians.

Insurance Trust - the beneficiaries are orphans living in orphanages and SSPN account opened by the principal / representative of the orphanage management.
